Here is the finished piece for Alex. It is a solid oak coffee table with an inlay of his Bijaj scooter. The inlay is comprised of about twenty individual pieces of wood. These pieces are NOT stained. The varying colors were achieved by using different species of wood. The types used are Pink Ivory, Cocobolo, Maple, Yellowheart, Rosewood, and Snakewood.
The table also features a lower shelf suspended below the main surface with oak dowels.
This table was assembled using traditional joinery techniques.
